Oh - this is an improvement for me with the new little zoomer, Kat. Still kind of blurry, but I got the lens cap ogg, the camera powered on and picked him up in reasonable time, so that is a BIG improvement. lol

I'm always amazed by the wingspan, but they need
all that wing to get all that big bird up in the
air, I guess. Neat shot! If a bird is not sitting
still, I haven't been able to catch one yet. I
have tried. They come out with blue sky and a
smear. I'll keep trying.:-) In the mean time, I
can look at your beautiful shot! Nice series,
Lori!

Great catch. I got a few shots of Same kind of Hawks yesterday at a Wild Life refuge. Had forgotten to post them. Thanks for this reminder.
Great series.

Thanks Julia and Steve - I didn't change my camera - this was with my sx50. I am getting a little better with sighting these in faster. Long way to go!

Saw one the other day here too,
but I just cannot capture one.

Well shot, Lori.
