The leaves were just positively aglow on out hike to Kelsey Creek. Love this hike.

this looks just like a hike I used to do up on Soldier Mt!! I can almost smell the dampness!!

Thanks Susan. It is rather loamy - the sund does not get through often and there is thick moss everywhere. It's just gorgeous.

The loamy trail is softer on your feet but slippery when wet and harder to negotiate !
Looks fairly steep there !

Much steeper in other spots. this is considered a 'moderate' hike for us and is about 7 miles round trip. You could take this trail all the to the coast, I understand. It used to be the mule train route. thanks for all the great comments, Heidrun!
