Hey, I'm looking at you!!

I love quail. They take forever to cross a street, first sending out a scout who will get a third of a way across the street, then scurries back before venturing out a bit further.

We had a covey who roosted in the pine trees in our back yard. At twilight, they'd prance on our roof, then dive bomb our dogs on the way to the trees.
