Some details - I was able to take these photos safely since traffic was stop and go. Snow Plows? They didn't have a chance. We got approximately 12+ inches in 2-1/2 hours. This is a major freeway in the Kansas City area and the plows simply did not have a chance to get to this area. This photo was taken at 10:42 and at 7:00 we had zero snow. It didn't take long to pile up.

Looks treacherous! Why wasn't this road cleared? Was the broken-down snow plow, the culprit? Hope no one froze.
