Death Valley National Park, CA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: This creek only runs in the cooler months. It will mostly disappear by under the scorching summer sun. Little pup fish live in this creek, even though it is extremely salty. They must live quickly and not waste a moment. Once the creek begins to dry up, most of the fish will die. Only a remnant manages to survive in deeper pools, and then through the colder winter as well, so in spring they must work fast to keep the species alive. We saw the little guys in the stream and they were busy as can be. A fast and harsh life.

About PugetSoundPost

My husband and I, along with our four kids in college and beyond live in western Washington, but we like to venture further afield when time permits. We have enjoyed photography wherever we have gone and hope to add a little new perspective to any who may stop by to enjoy a bit of our journeys. We appreciate your interest and comments! Weather is also a passion of mine, so please drop by my blog for my musings about our weather here in the Puget Sound region!
