Compare this picture to the one I took from the day before, which was of a portion of beach just below this one. The beach ended up looking like this no matter where one went- no place escaped the erosion on LBI. The combination of high tides and windblown sand from the storm made the beach much narrower, lower, and undermined the roots of the dune grass.
