I see your geese are back. I have a new attachment that will let me mount a holographic pistol sight on my camera. I make sure the camera's lens and sight are "sighted in" and then preset the camera zoom. All I have to do is put the pip on the bird, follow it, and trip the shutter. I can shoot w/ both eyes open and following the bird is much easier.
