Thanks Paul! What town are you asking about? Where the photo was taken Mettawa or where I reside McHenry?
Mettawa is by Rockland and I-94, near Lambs Farm.

McHenry is FAR northwest suburbs, along the Fox River.

Great stuff Larry ... apologies but I've traversed northern IL for some 50 years and never heard of your town ... where are you?? Obviously was the same cloud I saw (as well as the elgin panorama shot)
