Kennebunk Beach, ME (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: These fitness folk are like the post office of old - neither sleet, snow or freezing rain will keep them from their appointed rounds of exercise. The high tide had cleared the snow from the beach, but the rising sun revealed the freshly fallen snow decorating the houses and trees along Mother's Beach this morning. Temperature was 27F at 7:00 am.

I'm with Gayle (swampteach). I want to know what
they are doing. Looks like some kind of game.
They are a brave and hardy bunch, for sure!

Fantastic series, this is a great photo, if those folk are selling any of that energy I could do with some.

Are those yoga mats???? That's not something most folks' muscles would want to do, at 27 degrees! I expected to see some sprinting, or powerwalking, or I-don't-know-what! Ah, but they were having fun; that's what counts! I, too, very much enjoy the contast between foreground and background in this late winter scene! Thank you for awakening early & bringing your camera to capture this athletic audience AND the lovely snow-dressed trees and crashing waves! - Julie in Ohio

I like this shot too!

The folks are interesting, but those
homes lined up in the background are
tremendous.

Thanks, Wilma, for sharing.

Thanks for looking, and leaving your notes, Eileen and Kristina. I'm never sure just which of the three beaches I'm going to find these folks on, but I do know for sure that I will find them somewhere along the waterfront!

Thanks, Susan - we sure didn't get the same volume of snow that you did. Lots more freezing rain first, which helped reduce the volume of snow leftover from Nemo and Plato!
