The seagulls nest on the rocks along the shore, so as the sun began to set, the birds returned to the safety of the rocks of the Nubble Light.

******SIGH!!!!,,,,,I remember this as I mentioned in my mail to you....gosh it was awesome!! We were kind of disappointed that they discontinued the little 'ride' crossing over to the island...at least,I think this was the one?? Still,,nothing like being there at sea level,looking up so close to one of the most famous of lighthouses in Maine,and as far as I know,it's still FREE right?!!! Such a beautiful area too!! How I miss it!! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this exciting and scenic view with us here,Wilma!! I especially appreciate your Maine shots!! It's always a thrill and pleasure to view them,and other New England views from you and the rest! :)
