Ooh! Being, well, *me*, I couldn't help but do a quick "power-density analysis" of the orbs. :D

Those that're smallest are also the brightest, and those that're biggest seem to be dimmest. So the smaller, the brighter.

If they'd be emitting their own light, you'd think nearer == bigger == brighter, but this is the exact opposite of that. Ie, it seems as if they're simply objects that're out-of-focus, that the more blurred, the dimmer they are (ie, more light spread out due to blurring), but the closer to being in-focus, the smaller and "sharper" the image, thus brighter.

More clues... :D

That is very true with this shot! Though not always the case it seems. I have many bright up close shots historically, but waiting for a new shot to come along to post, not long I expect. There seem to be differing "types" as well.

About Kavannah
Kavannah I am an avid skywatcher. I photograph at least twice a day usually dusk and dawn for most images. I have been capturing unusual or uncategorized pictures nearly everyday. I have been diligent about debunking common causes. I can find no correlation with the photos and the weather (ie: humidity levels, temperature, barometric pressure, sunspot activity, electromagnetic earth readings, or even pollen counts).
