Minneapolis, MN (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Now that we had a rain free day, I decided to try my goal: Ride from downtown St. Paul to Downtown Minneapolis on my bike. (or close enough there.) This HDR turned out to be tricky. I took a series of pictures handheld. Then I had to sort through them to get a decent render.

Thanks. Yes I prefer more natural HDR. I aim to shoot as it looked and overcome limitations with my camera. Here it's getting the shadows and highlights evenly exposed. To get a natural render appears to rely on the exposure of the images combined. My first few attempts with this image I had to weed out some that did not help. Because if one is slightly off, then that will cause the entire thing to either have weird colors or come out of focus.

Thanks. This is definitely a site I will come to and try to get more photos. I'm thinking of doing some project including various bridges in the Twin Cities. I was going to focus on St. Paul only, but these bridges are too awesome to ignore.

It does have that archaeological dig look to it. What a fun place to explorer.

About Fieldofflowers

Fieldofflowers

Every day that I come here, I'm amazed by the awesome photos I see. I love to take photos of whatever catches my eye. Usually my photos have something to do with nature. Insects and flowers have always been a big interest. You can also find me on Flickr. Summer '09 goal: Aiming to take pictures daily, and upload some of my favorites. I hope people enjoy them as much as I do. Most of the time, the fun comes from taking the pictures, more than the actual results. Create your own visitor map! Counter started: 6-21-09
