This is great!!! I'd read about Boojum trees and when I went to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum we came around a bend in the path and there were two of them!! I was so excited! Laughing...my sister thought I'd gone off my rocker! She's lived in the Southwest for years but never heard of them before. This is a really good picture. They sure get tall, don't they? I'll be going to the Desert Museum the first part of March so I look forward to seeing this in person! :D

Thanks, Mom!

The Desert Museum actually has a couple of Boojum Trees that I know about, and there may be others. If I recall correctly, this one is near the main aviary. Hope you find them, and enjoy your visit.

About DesertNomad
DesertNomad Most of my work is found under the name Pat Goltz (with or without space) on various art sites. I have been doing art seriously for over ten years. In addition to photography, I do digital art, including fractals, abstracts, Hubisms, and digital landscapes. For fractals, I use Ultrafractal, Xenodream, or Apophysis. Most of my landscapes are done in Terragen. A Hubism is a type of abstract that is done in Bryce or Vue d'Esprit. In photography, I do mostly nature, including landscapes, flowers, birds, insects, and other subjects, as well as urban photography. I like to provide beauty, and my photography is for people who cannot go where I go, so that they may enjoy the beauty. Soli Deo Gloria.
