Hi,thanks for all the wonderful comments,the location of these pics. are on the south shore of Lake Superior near Sliver City in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. The ice is formed by wave action the water comes up from under the ice and kind of forms a blow hole this one is more like a cave though.You do have to be careful when walking n this shore ice,my dog loves to come on walks and she will not go out on thin ice so I don't go where she won't :))
