Sparks, NV (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Having stayed in Sparks Nevada (which is basically attached to Reno), due to some wrong turns and a few other interestinmg twists, I took off Wednedday (9-25) to finish what I started, which was to get on to Highway 50. Since I drove out I-80 on my way to Oregon, I decided to go back a diffrent route, which was Hwy 50. I wanted to see different things. This was the closest I could find to a Reno lenticular. It was a neat cloud at any rate.

Thanks, Wanda, Eileen and Linda! It was the night
before that I was way off track and in a thick
forest at dusk, very low on gas. That was a bit
unnerving, but thanksfully, I found my way back
to the highway at dark and filled up the car at
the coldest, windiest place you could imagine!
Dang, it was cold, but I was SO grateful to have
a full tank again.

Lovely cloud and sky, esp. with that beautiful Mountain to ground it all. 10!

I am so afraid of getting lost, when I travel alone. You've given me much more confidence to NOT worry about it. :) Hwy 50 is pretty cool in it's barren, lonely way. We got a kick out of the little NAVAL stations in the middle of the desert!

This was part of my drive home from the Gold Beach meet-up.
I should have been much farther along, but it all worked out just fine.
