Hotchkiss, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Finally! Aftr getting to the farm, the weather has been nothing but HOT and dry until Saturday when we finally got some rain. Yesterday was cloudy (all different kinds) and much cooler so I finally quit hiding in the house and went out with my camera. This is a man-made pond for holding irrigation water. Oak Mesa is visible in the distance.

The greens are due to ditch irrigation, for the
most part, Heidrun, although we did get a bit of
rain Saturday that will help a little. We also
got a break from the heat for a couple days, but
it's going to go right back up into the 90's
starting tomorrow. Thank you for your nice comment!

What a wonderful spot and the reflections make it even more so !
Very beautiful shot, Kat !
All the greens are beautiful to see, even though you mentioned that you had very hot and dry weather ( just like it is here currently !
