Sapinero, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Just one more...the foreground is a path at the Pioneer Point area, but it is the rocky ridge that caught my eye. To me, it looked like twin castles with a defensive wall between them, but it is just the way the terrain was shaped by upheavals millions of years ago! My Dad, who like Western movies, would say "Looks like a good place for an ambush." because in the old Westerns, the 'bad guys' would be hiding in just such spots waiting for a stagecoach to rob. I just thought it looked cool.

Oh, you have so captured the beauty of this land. The rocks in the foreground, the road and the flowers is a great composition. These formations are so fascinating!
