We did, but the roads were so warm, it melted
on contact. You can see more in the the other shots.

It does look as if it's blooming, now that you
mention it Heidrun. It does not bloom, but it has
these feathery clusters on it before it leafs out.
If it ever stops snowing, I'll take a shot of
it so you can see what I mean. Those little
clusters are what caught all the snow and made it
look like flowers.
