There is an old tumbledown shack in the woods just off the edge of our property that is hidden when there are leaves on the trees. I've never approached it closely until today when I decided to photograph it. In very decrepit condition now, I still can't figure out what function it served when it had one. This is looking at it from the east-northeast, the most nearly intact side.

This may have been a hunter's lodge. Note near the top of the wall it looks like there may have been a hole for venting a wood burninng stove.

I had observed that, Mike; on one of the other pictures in this series I speculated that this might well be a hunter's cabin. Thanks for commenting; I think you are right.
