Another neat shot, and I can see you really enjoy fishing for the sake of fishing, and that is good. We are choosy too but usually end up using only walleye and perch which we like best. Keep having fun. Arlene

Wow! Great shot Delana. Great video, great music for that, and thanks for the CalicoBass definition. Often wondered about that one, but never asked you.

Thanks Eileen and Jim for the comments! Eileen, I'd had that Crappie mounted too. I always said if I ever catch a 8 pound bass, it was going on the wall..I have one on the wall!
Jim, I'd love to try fishing for sharks and rays, would be so different from what we are use to here.

Beautiful wrist action, love the reeling and casting. You gotta come and do the surf fish gig with me, catch a couple of sharks and rays. Would be awesome to catch a great sunrise while you were here, like stainglass in a chuch, beautiful colors in the sanctuary., NICE cpr

Wonderful information!
The first fish I ever caught was a foot-long crappie...even had it mounted.

Thanks Dianne and Betsy for the comments! This is a Crappie, and another name for them is Calico Bass. When I was trying to come up with a handle for WU, every time I tried a Bass, it showed to have been taken. Nobody had Calico Bass, hehe. (On Wikipedia)..Other names for crappie are papermouths, strawberry bass, speckled bass or specks (especially in Michigan), speckled perch, calico bass (throughout New England),[3] sac-au-lait (in southern Louisiana, lit "bag of milk")[4] and Oswego bass.
I had a blast, catching about 10 or better Crappie, 3 Largemouth Bass and 4 Bluegill. And, I gave them all CPR...Catch, Photo, Release. If we had a bucket, we might have eaten Crappie for supper though :)
