I love the picture, the ebb and flow, again and again the difference.
Tides of the sea. Great !
Wonderful reflections !! .
The sun brings deep peace in the picture, but also in our hearts. God bless you and Yours, in Alaska.

Thank you for your lovely comments !

Yes, the tides here are more extreme than in many places, so the tide was very low when this was shot. That day we has a high tide of 14.5 ft. and a -0.3 ft. low tide.
In Oct. we will have one with a 16.7 ft. high and a -2.5 ft low!

They are old pilings that log rafts used to be tied up to, back in the days when logging was still booming here. Then they were either taken to the mill to be cut into lumber or loaded on Japanese log ships to be exported. Actually it wasn't that many years ago... maybe 10 or so.

About Budsgirl

I live in SE Alaska and love it here on an island. It is so peaceful and beautiful. It rains a lot, but that means it is always green and the nice days make it worth it. There is always something worth taking a picture of even in the worst weather. I am so thankful to live here and feel blessed!
