I am a senior at Cornell University majoring in atmospheric sciences with a minor in Applied Economics and Management. My present research interests include small spatial scale climatology and understanding the critical relationship between the environment and climate change. I am interested in trying to understand these effects to further increase prevention and mitigation strategies during the short and long term.Currently, I am working on research related to the timing onset of spring through leaf and bloom dates of plants. By analyzing maximum and minimum temperature values, a 'Spring Index' can be derived and analyzed for climatological pattern changes. Outside of academia my interests including long-term seasonal weather forecasts, reading, hiking, and in general my love for the outdoors
