Caption: This bush produces such late flowers, and so extra aromatic. I went outside and was met with the most heavenly smell and I sniffed all over the front yard until I found it. But so late in the year.....

Sure looks like some kind of azalea, Betty, though I don't know of any that normally bloom this late. I suggest it may be one that usually blooms in spring, but might open a few buds now, as some of my (non-fragrant) ones are doing. There are some kinds of azaleas that smell good.
