shenandoah, IA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I observed this storm system evolve into these awesome cloud action..over a couple hours..when it finally reached Shenandoah,Ia,from the N/W we got some rain, and moderate winds, but nothing really severe in spite of how it looked.First the cells seemed to be moving due north east, and figured we would not get anything, mostly staying about 20 miles or more to the west of here..Imagine my delight that I stayed around and had a nice Friday nights entertainment.Taken near Rapp Park..

These were taking just outside of town to the north,in the park vicinity.I was hoping the one family camping would not have to ride the storm out if it got too rough,,they had a decent camper, but still..I hoped the local authorities would check and warn if the situation were to get bad..Funny how these things whip up after just seemingly not moving much..

These are really special. Had to be west of us. I watched and couldn't see any of this from behind the trees. 10 from a couple blocks east of you.

About BEME

BEME

Hi KIDDIES!!! O.K.,,there seems to be a bit of confusion about this photo,,,I AM on the left,,a gal!![MINDI],,and the right-hand pic is of BOB my hubby!! I cloned the two images together,,of us taking pics of each other,,so we could give you folks an idea of who we are,,replacing the previous photo of our two favorite eagle family youngsters...We live in Shenandoah,Ia.,,and enjoy [especially me] taking lots of pictures!! I do most of the posting on here,,that's MY thing..and I try to put up Bobs when he takes some good ones...I would also like for you to check out the older ones from time,to time,,I like to share my images,,though not always the greatest,,just to give you an idea what life is sometimes like here in S.W. Iowa.. I came out here from the East Coast and interior New England, where I lived until 1992,,I also lived in Philly for a few years, and Bob is born and raised here in Shenandoah.,,but loves other places that we have visited too. I am happy to have found this site to learn how to take better photos,,meet new people, and make new friends, and be dazzled by what folks share of their 'world'in pictures on here. THANK YOU WuNDERGROUND! I appreciate all your kind words and mail, and critique as much as I enjoy giving back in kind! SHARE THE LOVE!!
