There Used To Be A Boardwalk

Valley Stream, NY (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Hurricane Sandy destroyed the boardwalk at Long Beach, Long Island. What was ever left has been removed. I have posted photos of the damaged boardwalk earlier on in my gallery. All that is left is the cement. Hopefully the boardwalk will be back soon.

A beautiful image of a very sad state of disrepair...the symmetry, colors, lighting and surrounding debris makes this a haunting image.
