Brownfield, ME (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: on Woods Pond in Bridgton, ME a week after several days in the 80's! Winds gusted in excess of 50MPH at times causing numerous trees to come down and many power outages..the beautiful part of this weather event of temps in the teens/20's was the formation of thick ice on the windward side of this very large 'pond'..a brilliantly blue, sunny sky created a stunning scene when combined with the sparkling white and blue ice and the pounding waves..I had to fight to stay upright with the camera and try to not freeze my hands and ears off..but the shots I got were worth it I think! Spring is always an exciting season here in the North Country...

About suzi46

Living in the mountains of Western Maine on a 15 acre 'gentleman's farm', in a hand hewn log home, has been a wonderful experience these past 6 1/2 years. But it was time to downsize and make a major lifestyle change..so that's what we did!! Going from the Mt Washington Valley region of Maine/NH all the way down to the "Horse Capital of the World"..Marion County in Central Florida! New photo ops in a totally new and intriguing area of this very large and varied state..let the fun begin!
