Thanks for the nice comments all. I spent a few years "cruising" (evaluating) timber on Oregon's "east side" so looking at trees in the snow has become a special part of my psyche. (When I was a kid, my dad's logging outfit took 300 million board feet off the hill behind me. We're still growing the trees here, but they're more likely to burn than make houses.)

I love snow in the mountains! This is beautiful with the mountains, the fog and then the trees. Can't help but wonder how many critters are roaming around in there. Guess the griz are snoozing.
