One of my favorite birding spots this summer seems to be at its peak in beauty. All told I have seen Cedar Waxwings, Mallard and Wood Ducks, Yellowthroat Warblers, Kingbirds, Blue and Green Heron, Least and Spotted Sandpipers, Belted Kingfishers, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Great-crested Flycatchers, Purple Martins, Barn Swallows, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and Canada Geese here.

A lovely picture, but now I'm confused. The panel says the camera is a Canon EOS 40D, but the EXIF says it is a Nikon Coolpix 510.

Can anyone explain this discrepancy?

I have both cameras. In the profile area it asks what your favorite is and I have the Canon EOS 40D listed. I took this shot with the Nikon because it's easier to carry around with me in my purse all the time since it's so small. I just happened to be passing by today and snapped a quick shot. The EXIF data shows the actual camera that was used.

Aha! Now I get it. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I an certainly understand the Canon being your favorite (my 60D is my favorite), but I too carry a pocket camera when I don't want to lug around the weight of the Canon.

I have to chuckle to myself...I never think
of swamps being in New York. Then I have to
remember that New York is a state...not just
a city.

What a beautiful picture! I love the rich colors. Congrats on the AC. This one is definitely going on my desktop at work. Love it! My coworkers love to see your pictures. And yes, we have it all in New York! It's mostly a very rural state with lots of forests, swamps, lakes and waterways and those of us in western New York are almost 400 miles from the big city.
