SWDM; 60+; 2 grown daughters; 4 indoor cats. Have had only 4 addresses ever - all of which have been within 25 mi. of each other in NE PA, where civilization has become too noticeable. Productivity at this end suffered a setback quite awhile ago, but picture-taking is an attempt to hopefully show that it has at least partially been restored - with some titles and/or captions intending to increase the "fun" of the process. Comments of support have made life immeasurably better. It is hugely attractive that this site provides so many well-done glimpses of the world. My oldest WunderPhotos which understandably weren't anybody's favorites - and thousands of other pics - can no longer be seen by clicking on "Visit My Website" next to this bio. The site (Webshots) has been restructured, resulting in the undoing of many, many hours of effort. "My WunderBlogs" might have provided pleasing viewing...but photos there, too, have been wiped out by the restructuring; and the blogs probably won't be restored until late 2013. The WunderBlog space is much appreciated and I wish that I could add to it - and upload to WunderPhotos - more often...but dealing with this disturbing restructuring will be my top priority well into 2013. |

Congrats on the GREAT capture !!!
Like all the others, I love the "Old-Time" locomotives, and have many memories of riding such trains, which betrays how ancient I am.
After my wife retires (again !!??) in a year or so,
we'll schedule a trip to the NW USA and then into Canada. Maybe return by taking the Trans-Canadian
route back to the East Coast, then south to home.
I may never see it, but some day the USA will again
be crossed with passenger trains, but as is Europe
and Japan, with "High Speed" versions.
