Betsy I had no idea that they were toxic. The info said that for some reason some dogs are really attracted to it. Mine use to attack it when he was a puppy and I had to block the plant off with some fencing.
They are very numerous in the yards around here and are really pretty when they have not been hit by a freeze so mine are looking pretty bad now.
