I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I really love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Betsy, all of the temps happening lately are 'normal.' Sometimes you have to wear a parka with a snorkel hood, or a heavy scarf wrapped around, sometimes you don't.
This day, you don't.
The parka in my portrait has a snorkel hood, if I zip it all the way there is only a small peep hole for vision. Very warm and snug.
