I felt the same way when I pulled in TO PLAY. I too used to play there often, driving up from Phoenix. Yes, brutal. I liked to play in the shoulder season when it was wide open, I felt that winter wind!

It used to be the front nine when it opened. I believe I paid almost 100 bucks to play a couple times.

Unusual to see a nice course go down.

I see this picture and it almost makes me cry…I lived in Laughlin from 1996-2004..We use to play this course on our local card for 35$..Great course..brutally tough…This pic looks like its from the old parking lot looking down the 10th fairway…410 yd (into the winter wind) par 4 with a
25 yard wide fairway. desert on the right, s casino drive on the left..bogey was a par on this hole…I miss the old river town sometimes..back when there was the Flamingo (aquarius)…Worked at the Golden Nugget 8 years when Steve Wynn owned the joint…Laughlin and Nv will never be the same..such a shame
