Newark, DE (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Looking out my back door, the rain was very heavy and the wind was gusting. Shortly after this photo was taken, Newark was under a tornado warning. With an earthquake here early in the week, we're certainly having interesting weather!

@mapman, you're right, of course, re earthquakes not actually being weather. I had that same discussion with my family right after it happened. It surprised me, though, that most of the reporting I found about the event was on weather websites! I'm afraid I got a little lazy with my terminology. Earth event might fit better but that doesn't seem quite right, with so much happening above the earth.

Interesting weather no doubt! But the earthquake isn't considered weather, its a geologic event.

Thank you, WU, for the AC! And thank you to everyone who commented for the well wishes as much as for the photo comments. The bottom side of the hurricane is now here, bringing more wind and rain so I'm heading outside again.

Nicely done... the blur of the tree needles helps give that feeling of movement! Stay safe!

The blur on the leaves of the tree branch is caused by the wind whipping the branch.
