Ida's power

Thanks. Ida has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm. Hopefully, the winds will continue to decrease as the storm approaches land. I went to the beach again just before dark. The huge waves were breaking 5 and 6 deep, and we could see breakers out to the horizon line. No camera this time because it was raining sideways -- still is, and the wind has picked up considerably in the past couple of hours.

weatherlittlegirl -- It appears we will be at ground zero when Ida comes ashore. It should play out as it crosses land and not be much of a worry for you.
