The Gulf State Park Pier opened in March of 2009 and replaces the former pier demolished by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. This pier is 1520 feet long and is the longest pier in the Gulf. Uploaded by: happytobealive

Absolutely blowing a gale in SW FL. Beach erosion and lots of coconuts on the ground hope you stay safe and keep taking the photos,
I just checked weather and it appears we will get hit harder than first predicted. Need to keep a heads-up on this one. The beach erosion has already begun here as we noticed a significant rearrangement in the beach today from just a couple days ago. And watch those coconuts -- they can fly through the air like cannonballs during high winds!
