Southern California Snow

Yucaipa, CA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: A Pacific storm (usually warm) came and dropped snow in Southern California in area which rarely see snow. This was not even an "insider slider" (lingo for a northern, non-Pacific cold jet stream). Snow days for schools are rampant and there are many accidents on the roadways. Our snow is not the typical fluff, but very wet and slick.

We received as much snow as parts of the Cascades in Oregon did. (which is for them a small amount, us a lot). UT was supposed to get snow and did not, or got little.... anyways wunderground has called this the strongest storm in 140 years.

I have never seen this much snow in Yucaipa! I think you got more than we did here in the far northern part of the state.

Wow, we need that up in Vancouver BC for the Olympics. Except it needs to be powder.
