Oh hi, Briar,...I just noticed the recent comments. Yes, it is. I have done just that on some occasions while hiking through these canyons. One time, I left G on a big rock by the stream and under the shade so he could cool off. I hiked further up. When I came back he was dead asleep! I thought at first he was dead!! His mouth was hanging open and he was so still. He doesn't like the heat, lol.
