Double Congrats for your AC and VIP - it's really an exceptional shot! Best wishes in a scary situation

Thanks very much. I got lucky.

For those that care, the fire is mostly out, and is about 50 percent contained. That means that there are some hot spots, but there is good line around most of the fire.

A very great photo of this sad situation. So many fires all over the western states. We've had our share of bad ones in NM. Colorado springs, I'm sure you know about that one is the worst of the bunch.

Congratulations on your first AC!
Congratulations on the VIP also!

Thanks for the kind words.

Nice shot of another bad fire, Congrats on the AC and VIP! Glad your safe...

Thanks. Lucked out on the AC, with bows to the photographers who actually know what they are doing. The bad news is that I should be able to get some even closer shots tonight.

Have things turned out all right? This is excellent fire weather reporting, with an artistic touch, too.

Extreme fire behavior ended after midnight. The fire laid low overnight as winds continue from the SW as forecast. So far, so good for us and our neighbors in Swains Creek.
