El Reno, OK (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Actually this was the first of two tornadoes to form under the El Reno supercell last night. This one rotated counterclockwise, which is more typical of tornadoes in the northern hemisphere. It had a much more visible condensation funnel extending from the cloud base to the ground, but the debris cloud was not as impressive as with the second.

Would have been a winner, but try putting the watermark over in a corner & not so huge that it's at least 1/2 of the picture's horizontal size, maybe even larger still.

Doing it this way is simply over-kill ..... and that's exactly what it does, kills the picture. The eyes SHOULD be drawn to the main subject in the image, which is the tornado.

But like this, instead, the tornado is simply background clutter, with the extreme watermark/logo dominating the entire scene, turning the once-probably-great picture into a now-simply-irritating one.

You can still successfully protect your work without doing something so outrageously extreme that no one even cares about the picture much, nor any of your others by assuming you've done every one of them this way.

Just remember, you're taking a photo of something that's really neat, interesting, pretty, or epic ..... NOT of a logo.
