Peace on Earth

Caption: Seeing your photos along with your clever titles and captions, receiving your thoughtful comments and support to my photos, and reading your witty comments on other fellow photographers' photos was like a year-round Christmas gift. Thank you! May peace be on Earth and Merry Christmas to you and yours!

PS: It is not my house! While I was taking this photo, the branches of tree on the right started moving giving the movement to the lights. It was not wind, maybe squirrels?

What a coincidence that you unearthed my last year's Peace on Earth, chipouttatheredoak, because just today I thought it was time to do some "house hunting" for this year's Christmas house but it is raining! I feel so flattered that you found this shot, have it on your desktop, and that I am your 14th comment on the site! I feel so uplifted, thank you! I am so glad that this house takes you back to your childhood!

Was searching for a Christmas photo to display on my desktop and THIS is it. I love this older home that's proudly showing off Christmas in such a cheerful, bright, and colorful way. Every time, I gaze at it, I'm transported back in time to those dreamy childhood Christmases that I loved so very much.

Mindi, what a lovely message, thank you! I love your thought of Santa Claus bringing goodies to the little creatures living in the tree!

How lovely to see all your comments since you are photographers whose photos I have admired!

Dorothy, I am glad that you like the movement in the tree. I love your little ♥!

Donna and Susan, it is always an honor for me when you stop by. I couldn't resist not taking a photo when I saw this house. Wish it were mine!

Doxigrafix, nice to meet you! The tree on the porch caught my attention, too. Maybe it is for people to leave gifts at their door!

Lori, thank you for often commenting on my photos!

Richard, I feel so flattered that you want to use this photo on a forum and really appreciated you letting me know. It is my pleasure. I just ask that you give attribution.

Alan, you are so kind, thank you. Yes, this site is great!

John and Gil, I believe this shot must have already slipped off the gallery when you stopped by. So, thank you for the special visit and your kind wishes from NZ and NM!

I like the Christmas tree on the porch, right in front of the door. It looks like it is trying to get in... "Hey, lemme in! S'cold out here!"

About belletrouvaille

belletrouvaille

May 19, 2010: I carry my camera everywhere since I never know what I will encounter on my way. That is why I added "trouvaille" (good find) to my name. Didn't my dog find a good one to cuddle by? It had been a long sleep since I decided to post on WunderPhotos. (it still took me a month after I registered with it) This is more fun than Facebook! (though I have never had a Facebook account) Thank you for all your amazing photos that have inspired me day by day! Notes: 1. I don't edit my photos other than slight cropping, though I am aware of the old ways of changing results in the darkroom and admire what people can do nowadays on the computer. 2. With very few exceptions, I post photos in a series in chronological order from left to right and don't jump dates back and forth.
