Many thanks, Debra! I was hoping for some nice white clouds, but the blue sky worked out just fine, with the sun at right angles off to the right.

A very pretty scene Jim! I love that big blue sky against the fall color.

Thanks Duane - I think that the fish are always jumpin' "over there! "

I don't know Jim, I said I could hide in that other spot - but I see the fish jumped here - so maybe I'll move over to this spot! Congratulations.

Hi Wilma - thanks for stopping by. This pond will always be a treasure, modest as it is. Those trees sure do help!

Just found this, Jim! Congratulations to you for this honor of the Blue. The colors of fall are always a treat, no matter how vivid or pale - it's especially beautiful when reflected in the water like in your pond. Kudos to you!

Katy, Minou, Kim, Bluesmaster, Biskitten,

Thank you all for the kind comments. I suspect that the Tupelos were early for a change this year. A few chilly nights in the past month, plus windstorms. I still love their look. Even when they are bare!

Kim, I almost did miss the show.

Katy, Yay for water. Even the smallest puddle can make a picture!

Best, Jim H

"Your Pond" is very different from mine!

But just as beautiful (tongue-in-cheek) if not as desolate! :)

CONGRATULATIONS! Let's hear it for ponds everywhere!

About appledust36

appledust36

Many of my photos are from preserved woodland and farmland in Central New Jersey. If I've succeeded in sharing some of the tranquillity and modest natural beauty of this historic area, as well as other places I visit, I'm happy. PS - i've enjoyed myself and learned a lot from all that this site provides. Hope to do so for a long time! Thanks to all of you! - Jim aka Appledust36
