Snowing in Southaven? It's cloudy and windy here in Starkville. Nice cardinal shot Chuck.

Fantastic photo! Beautifully composed! I was just wondering why Cardinals do not fly south for the winter and then noticed this poor guy was in Mississippi! :) Lovely weather and nature shot! 10!

About WeatherRose
WeatherRose Hello, My name is Chuck. I have been a member of WU for nearly 8 years, and originally I joined to share data from my weather station. I soon discovered the WU photo section and was amazed by some of the photos I saw. I had dabbled in photography as a teenager having an Olympus OM-10 35mm camera where I learned a lot of the fundamentals of photography, but drifted away from the hobby. Over the past couple of years I have regained my interest and have gotten back into it. Two years ago I acquired a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 micro 4/3 camera, and later a Nikon D5000 DSLR, and have really been enjoying sharing my photos with the WU photo community. My main subjects are birds and butterflies of which I mostly photograph right in my back yard. The WU photo gallery is a great place to hang out. I was so happy to finally get a blue frame around one of my photos last year! Photography is a great stress reliever for me and I'm glad I have gotten back into it. It is an honor to be able to share my work here, and to be able to see some amazing photographic work posted from around the world. Thank you for taking the time to look at some of my photos.
