Thanks for the ID.
This was my first Cicada and it scared my grandson (and me too)!
I underwent cataract surgery last November and then more problems with my optic nerve in March. I am just getting back to taking fotos and enjoying it.

Yes, cicada, and you can see the empty shell of the nymph from which it just emerged. Nice macro!
