delver the sharp edge disappeared soon after this was taken as the sun disappeared behind the haze. I had never seen anything like it.

I'm surprised not to see AFAICT atmospheric flattening here. I guess it wasn't really low yet (since made red anyway by smoke)?

BTW pls. add EXIF if you can, that Sun has such a sharp edge and I want to see how it was achieved.

Hardshoe, thank you very much. I saw this pinkish red sun in the sky as I was driving home from church and could not believe it. I raced down to the river, but it had already begun to fade behind the clouds, so the reflection on the river was gone by the time I arrived. Such a strange sight.

Gil, another one started at 445pm today on Badger Mountain. Lightening is causing them and we are expecting more storms tonight.

I'm not sure how bad they are. Check out kkrv.com and click on the link. It will tell you.

Thank you! Actually, the news is that the rain helped fight the fires, so that's good news.

About RadioDJgirl

RadioDJgirl

My name is Tresa, thank you for stopping by to look at and comment on my photos! I'm a native of California, I spent 5 years in Ohio, and 1 year in Iowa before moving to Wenatchee Washington. I am a radio personality, a wife (just celebrated our two-year anniversary), mother, and a Christian. This site is so addicting and fun! I enjoy sharing my surroundings with you and checking out your photos as well. I love weather/landscape photography, but my real passion is portrait photography, because I like to make people happy when they see how good they can look in a photo. Currently working part time in radio and you can listen on your computer by clicking the listen live button at http://www.kysn.com/. UPDATE: I just built a new Web site, http://www.photographybytresa.com/. Please check it out and feel free to sign the guestbook! By the way, I miss the old rating system where we rated from 0-10. How about you? I'd like to see it reinstated. This "like" thing is too much like Facebook. I find myself posting a little less on WU because of this.
