Thank you for the nice comments. Yes, you are right MRSJACK that rhododendrons are the state flower of Washington and I think well deserved. Beautiful large blooms in a variety of colors on big bushes that are easy to spot. And, they have a long blooming season as different varieties begin their bloom at different times, from early spring through nearly summer, so for a long stretch of time you can see rhodies blooming somewhere, although May seems to be their peak month, as Kippic has noted.

About PugetSoundPost

PugetSoundPost

My husband and I, along with our four kids in college and beyond live in western Washington, but we like to venture further afield when time permits. We have enjoyed photography wherever we have gone and hope to add a little new perspective to any who may stop by to enjoy a bit of our journeys. We appreciate your interest and comments! Weather is also a passion of mine, so please drop by my blog for my musings about our weather here in the Puget Sound region!
