Betsy, we do have lots of Virginia creeper in the area but many of us pull it out from the ground as it gets invasive. I'll have to check on the berries as to poisonous or not, just for curiosity sake.

To answer your question about the blue berries, it is Virginia Creeper (must be a lot of it where you live), but I don't know if the berries are poisonous. I would suspect that they are. - Betsy

Wow!  What a great catch!  I chased one near to this color for two days and never got close enough.....and the dappled light effect too!  You know, for a little white dog you take some amazing photos!  :D
