Caption: The surviving swan is still here. I have only seen it fly once across the pond. Should be easy to track on it's trip south with it's very bright neck band!

OH I MISSED THIS ONE! SORRY!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SWAN [and photo]!! I'm so happy it has stayed out there since they first introduced them to our 'pond'/park...I hope it survives and comes back next year!! Will have to check the Pawtuxent site next spring to see if anyone reported the band numbers...[as we already know where it came from ;)]

About Nikongranny

Nikongranny

Old, retired with lots of time on my hands and a Nikon. Lucky for me, there is a park just north of town that provides me with migrating birds and sunsets. Since joining this site, I have a new appreciation for this scenic world we live in. I especially love the comments from so many great people on here.
