Springfield, OR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Although this is really not weather related, I am posting this in honor of Chris Kilcullen, a Eugene, Oregon police officer who was senselessly shot and kill in the line of duty during a routine traffic stop. This little girl is 'planting' a flag in honor of Chris at a roadside memorial at the spot where Chris was shot.

Thank you for posting this, we all need a reminder about the sacrifices of those who serve and protect us and their families. It's just senseless when someone gets killed for trying to uphold the law.

Mike, so true and it just does not make sense to hear someone say guns kill. If they would just stop and think about it they would know that without someones finger on the trigger a gun is harmless. I pray that one day God will come back and put an end to all of the fighting, and senseless killings and forgive us for not understanding it is easier to love and beloved than to hate and be hated.
