Caption: Market St looking south towards casino. Contrary to what the media makes you think, blowing the levee greatly helped in keeping the waters lower here. It wasn't just about Cairo, it helped a lot of communities. Flood stage is about 39 ft here, currently it is at about 61.5 feet it could have been closer to 65.

WOW!!! Great job and thanks for the extra info!! Well done! We have been fortunate here in S/W Iowa,,while some high water close to the Missouri,most of the rivers are back to normal,and we hav'nt had as much rain at all,,not like the rest of the country!! Send some of this over to Gil in N.Mex..!!
