Kennebunk, ME (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Driving by this lovely house high on the hill above the Kennebunk River, I realized that the lilac bushes would soon be in leaf. So, I grabbed a quick shot through the bare branches while the all of the buildings were visible.

Good thinking. Yes, you wouldn't be able to
have quite the nice shot that this is after
the lilacs are leafing or in full bloom. But
I'll bet it's really pretty when they are in
bloom too.

Nice capture showing the architecture.

Thanks for the comments, Diti, Cici, Larry and Bernard. This is an authentic colonial style home. The Cape Cod style home has small windows and a center chimney, and it is indeed joined to the barn so that the family could attend to their livestock even during a blizzard.

A very interesting picture. It looks like the two houses are joined, but there is only one chimney.
